1. What is a charter school?
A charter school is a tuition-free public school that is independently operated.  Charter schools have a high degree of autonomy over budgets, curriculum, and personnel, which allows them to structure a school experience that produces the best educational results for theirs students.

2. What are the admission requirements for KIPP Tulsa? 
KIPP Tulsa does not have admission requirement as we are an open-enrollment, public school.

3. Will my child’s test scores, grades, or special needs be considered during the admissions process?
No. Student test scores, grades, or special needs are not used as part of the admissions process.

4. Do you provide transportation to and from school?
Transportation is provided according to standard operation procedures (e.g. student who live more than 2.0 miles from campus).

5. Do you charge tuition?
No. All KIPP schools are tuition-free.

6. Do you have Honors courses?
Yes! KIPP Tulsa will offer its first Honors classes in the 2013-2014 school year.

7. If my child is currently on the waitlist, how will I know whether admission will be offered? 
Based upon your child’s waitlist number, parents or guardians will be contacted by phone or mail if spaces become available.

8. Where can I get an application? 
Applications can be found on our website on the Enroll page, or you can obtain a hard copy from our main office.

9. Do I have to submit an application if I have a sibling currently attending KIPP Tulsa?
Yes. All students interested in enrolling at KIPP Tulsa must submit an application. Confirmed siblings will only be automatically accepted once the application process has been completed.

10. How will students be selected for admission?
Students are admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If more students apply than there are spots available, a random public lottery will be held.

11. What if my student is not selected in the lottery?
If your child is not selected for admission through the lottery process, he or she will then be placed on a waitlist.
